Community Guidelines
Welcome to Jesus Folks. This platform is an intentional gathering place where your everyday walk matters. We are a beautifully diverse, global community representing many different cultures, backgrounds, and seasons of life. To ensure this remains a safe, peaceful, and edifying sanctuary for believers everywhere, we ask all members to honor the following guidelines.
1. Protect the Main Feed (Our Public Square)
The main feed is the heart of our community. It is designed to be a place of mutual support and daily inspiration.
What belongs here
Personal testimonies, sharing your faith journey, words of encouragement, and prayer requests.
What does not
Please refrain from posting heavy theological debates, intense topical arguments, or long-form Bible studies on the main feed. We want this space to remain a peaceful environment focused on shared stories.
2. Navigating Deep Waters in Fireside Chats
We know that complex real-world issues, deep theology, and nuanced topics are a natural part of life and faith. We absolutely welcome healthy, iron-sharpening-iron discussions—we simply ask that they happen in the right setting.
If you want to host a small group Bible study, form a dedicated prayer group, or engage in a topical discussion, please create or join a Fireside Chat.
Keep it Graciously Grounded
Even when we disagree, all Fireside Chats must be conducted with absolute love and respect. Remember that you are speaking with brothers and sisters from different cultural backgrounds. We seek to understand before we seek to be understood.
Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
3. Leave Politics at the Door
While we all hold convictions about the world around us, this platform is intentionally set apart from the noise of the political sphere.
We ask that you do not post political arguments, campaign materials, or heated partisan debates. There are plenty of places on the internet for those discussions, but Jesus Folks is uniquely reserved for Kingdom-focused encouragement.
Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
4. Honor the Safe Space
No Self-Promotion
To keep our community pure in its intentions, please do not use this platform to promote outside businesses, sell personal products, or spam members with unsolicited links.
Confidentiality
What is shared in prayer requests and Fireside Chats stays there. Please do not screenshot, share, or gossip about the personal stories of other members.
Zero Tolerance for Hostility
We do not tolerate hate speech, bullying, passive-aggressive behavior, or aggressive arguments.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
5. Moderation & Grace
Our team actively moderates this platform to protect the peace of the community. If a post or comment violates these guidelines, it will be gently removed or redirected to a Fireside Chat. If a member continually disrupts the safety of the space, their account may be suspended or revoked at our discretion.
